আসুন আজ আমরা আমাদের কিছু হারিয়ে যাওয়া শৈশবের খেলাধূলা নিয়ে আলোচনা করি।এই সব খেলাগুলোই বাংলার নিজস্ব ও খুবই জনপ্রিয়।এখনকার ছেলেমেয়েদের শৈশবের ছবি দেখে সত্যিই করুণা হয়।ভাবতে ভালো লাগে আমরা অন্তত এসব খেলাধূলার সঙ্গে পরিচয় করার সুযোগ পেয়েছি।আর কথা বাড়িয়ে সময় নষ্ট করবো না।একে একে সেই সব খেলার সঙ্গে একটু পরিচয় করে নেওয়া যাক।
১)Gulli danda
এটি সাধারণত ২ ফুটের একটি বড়ো লাঠি যাকে আমরা ডান্ডা ও ৪ ইঞ্চির মাঝখানে গোলাকার এবং প্রান্তে তীক্ষ্ণ আরেকটি ছোট লাঠি থাকে যাকে আমরা গিলি বলি,এ দুটি নিয়ে খেলা হয়। গিলি-ডান্ডা খেলা ক্রিকেটের মতোই। এই গেমটিতে আপনাকে যা করতে হবে তা হল ডান্ডা ব্যবহার করে গিলির উপর শক্ত আঘাত করা।এর ফলে গিলি উল্টে যায় এবং বাতাসে যখন এটি ভেসে তখন আপনাকে এটিকে ডান্ডা দিয়ে ধাক্কা দিতে হবে।যিনি গিলিকে সবচেয়ে বেশি দূরত্বে আঘাত করেন তিনি জেতেন।গিলি মারার পরে,অপর খেলোয়াড়কেও প্রতিপক্ষের দ্বারা গিলি পুনরুদ্ধার করে পূর্বসম্মত নিয়মে খেলতে হবে।
২)Rumal churi
এই খেলা খেলতে প্রতিযোগীরা সব গোলাকার বেষ্টিত হয়ে খেলে।তাদের মধ্যে কোন এক জন রুমাল নিয়ে প্রতিযোগীদের পিছনে চক্রাকারে ঘুরতে ঘুরতে কোনো এক সময় তাদের অজান্তে কারোর পিছনে ফেলে দেয় ।যার পিছনে ফেলা হয় তাকে তা সংগ্রহ করে সঙ্গে সঙ্গে যে ফেলে তার পিছনে দৌড়াতে হয় ,যদি তাকে ধরে ফেলে তো সে আবার রুমাল নিয়ে দৌড়ায় ।যদি কোনো প্রতিযোগী তার পিছনে ফেলে দেওয়া রুমাল না বুঝতে পারে,তাহলে তার পিঠে একটি গাট্টা মারা হয় ।
৩)Pittu
এই খেলাটি দুটো দলে ভাগ হয়ে খেলতে হয়।দুই দলের মাঝখানে একটি জায়গায় সাতটি চৌকো পাথরের বা ইটের টুকরো রাখা হয়।প্রতিটি খেলোয়াড় টেনিস বল ব্যবহার করে একটি নির্দিষ্ট দূরত্ব থেকে টাওয়ারটি ভেঙে ফেলার সময় নেয়।প্রথম দলের দ্বারা ছুঁড়ে ফেলার পরে দ্বিতীয় দলের একজন খেলোয়াড়কে বল ধরার দায়িত্ব দেওয়া হয়।দ্বিতীয় দলের বাকিরা ফিল্ডার হয়ে যায় যখন প্রথম দলের কোনও খেলোয়াড় যখন টাওয়ারটি ছুঁড়ে ফেলতে সফল হন।প্রথম দলের পরবর্তী লক্ষ্যটি টাওয়ারটি পুনর্নির্মাণে করা এবং তা সেই দলের কোনো একজন খেলোয়াড় করে ।যদি সে দ্বিতীয় দলের কোনো খেলোয়াড়ের বল ছুড়ে মারার আগেই বানিয়ে নেয় তাহলে প্রথম দল একটা পিট্টু সংগ্রহ করে,তা না হলে দ্বিতীয় দল একটা পিট্টু সংগ্রহ করে।এইভাবে সর্বাধিক যে দল পিট্টু সংগ্রহ করে সে জেতে।
8)kanamachi khela
এটি অতি জনপ্রিয় ও একটি সহজ খেলা।এই খেলাতে একজনকে ভালো করে কাপড় দিয়ে চোখ বেঁধে দেওয়া হয় ও বাদবাকি সকলে তার চারিপাশে ঘুরতে থাকে।যদি সেই অবস্থায় সে কাউকে ধরে ফেলতে পারে,তাহলে সে তখন কানামাছি হয়ে একই ভাবে অন্যজনকে ধরার চেষ্টা করে।
যদিও এই খেলাটি কোনো দলগত খেলা নয় ,তাহলেও আমাদের শৈশবের খেলাধুলায় এটি বেশ জনপ্রিয় ছিল।
৬)Kumirdanga
অসম পৃষ্ঠে এটি খেলা হয়,এই গেমটিতে চার বা ততোধিক বাচ্চাদের জড়িত, যাদের মধ্যে একজনকে(কুমির) হিসাবে বেছে নেওয়া হয়।বাকী লোকেরা উঁচু জমিতে বা ডাঙ্গায় (স্থল) দাঁড়িয়ে এবং মাঝে মাঝেই কুমিরকে উত্তেজিত করে।যদি কুমিররুপী খেলোয়াড় অন্য কাউকে ধরে ফেলতে পারে,তাহলে তাদের মধ্যে স্থান বিনিময় হয়।
এইরকম আরও অনেক খেলাই হয়তো আজকের শৈশব থেকে হারিয়ে যাচ্ছে ।আপনারা কি বলেন?মতামত জানাতে ভুলবেন না।

Let's discuss some of our lost childhood sports today. All these sports are our own and very popular in Bengal. It is really a pity to see the childhood pictures of children now. So,no waste of time. Let's get acquainted with all those games.
1)Gulli danda
It is usually played with a large stick called danda of 2 feet and a small stick of 4 inches which is sharp at the both ends which we call gili.Gilli-danda is like cricket.All you have to do in this game is to hit the gilli hard with the stick.This causes the gills to overturn and when it floats in the air you have to push it with the big stick.The one who hits the farthest distance with the gilli will win.The other player has to play according to the precedent by recovering the gills by the opponent.The more who gains the point wins the game.
2)Rumal churi
To play this game, the contestants play all round.one of them, with a handkerchief, spins around the contestants and sometimes throws them behind someone unknowingly.If one catches him/her,he/she runs with the handkerchief again. If a contestant does not understand the handkerchief thrown behind him/her,then a blow is hit on his/her back.
3)Pittu
The game is played in two groups.seven squares of stone or brick are placed in a space between the two teams.Each player takes the time to break the tower using a tennis ball from a certain distance.The rest of the second team becomes fielders when a player from the first team succeeds in throwing the tower.The next goal of the first team is to rebuild the tower and one of the players from that team does it.If the first team rebuilds all stone before any member of the second team hits him then a point is collected,oherwise the second team collects a point.In this way,the team that collects the most point wins the game.
4)kanamachi khela
This is a very popular and easy game.In this game one person is blindfolded with a handkerchief and the rest of the people go around him.If he can catch someone in that situation,then that person tries to catch the other in the same way.
5)Lattu
Although this game is not a team game, it was very popular in our childhood sports.
6)Kumirdanga
Playing on uneven surfaces, the game involves four or more kids,one of whom was chosen as a crocodile (crocodile).The rest of the people stand on high ground or on the ground and excite the crocodile. If the crocodile-like player can catch someone else, there is an exchange between them.
