What many may not know is that the Suez Canal is the busiest canal in the world and it is man-made. It stretches from the Mediterranean Sea in the north to the Red Sea in the south. This canal was built with continuous hard work. The canal was built from 1859 to 1869 by continuous human effort and its  official journey of this canal began on 17th November 1869. Before the construction of the Suez Canal, a ship traveling from Europe to Asia would travel about 8,900 kilometers along the continent of Africa. It would take about 9-10 days.
