A week ago I was watching a popular news channel, where a debate was being held on all the health projects that were coming before us one after the other at the pre-voting stage.In addition to the political representatives of different parties, many non-political personalities were also present at that debate. we common men are not indulge by any party. Yes, it is true that we support one party or another, but many like me may feel that there can not be any political barrier to development, no matter which party brings it. It is very common to notice that all the political representatives who were present in the debate gave their opinion in favor of their government health project and strongly oppose the other, but what I liked best was that a number of well-known personalities raised questions about the realities of these projects above politics. If really we want to make a great success of any health project ,we need to improve the infrastructure of our system a lot. I know the task is not easy, but we have to emphasize on it first. Especially if it is a public health project, because in a country like ours, not everyone has the opportunity to get services in reputed expensive hospitals or nursing homes due to illness. So in that case they have to rely on government services. The elected government either at state or central has to think more transparently beyond the political fence, otherwise the people will have to suffer unnecessary harassment.

সপ্তাহখানেক আগে আমি এক জনপ্রিয় সংবাদ চ্যানেল দেখছিলাম,যেখানে প্রাকভোট পর্যায়ে যে সকল স্বাস্থ্যবিষয়ক প্রকল্পগুলো একের পর এক আমাদের সামনে চলে আসছে তা নিয়েই এক বিতর্ক সভা পরিচালিত হচ্ছিলো।এবং সেই বিতর্কসভায় বিভিন্ন দলের রাজনৈতিক প্রতিনিধি ছাড়াও অনেক অরাজনৈতিক ব্যক্তিত্বের উপস্থিতিও ছিল।দেখুন আমরা সাধারণত কোনো রাজনৈতিক দল দ্বারা পরিচালিত হই না।হ্যাঁ এটা ঠিক যে আমরা কোন না কোন দলকে আমাদের সমর্থন জানিয়ে থাকি,কিন্তু আমার মতন অনেকেরই হয়তো মনে হয় যে উন্নয়নের কোনও রাজনৈতিক বেড়া হয় না,তা সে যে দল করুক না কেন।খুব স্বাভাবিক ভাবে রাজনৈতিক প্রতিনিধিরা তাদের ঘোষিত প্রকল্পের পক্ষে মত ও বিপক্ষের ঘোষিত প্রকল্পের মুন্ডুপাত করতে দেখা গিয়েছিল ।তবে আমার যেটা সবচেয়ে ভালো লেগেছিলো যে বেশ কয়েকজন নামী ব্যক্তিত্ব রাজনীতির ঊর্দ্ধে এই সকল প্রকলগুলোর বাস্তবতা নিয়ে প্রশ্ন সকলের সামনে রেখে গেলেন।কারণ আমাদের মতন তাদেরও হয়তো মনে হয়েছে যে এই সকল প্রকল্পগুলির সুবিধা সকলকে পেতে হলে আগে আমাদের সিস্টেমের পরিকাঠামো অনেক উন্নত করতে হবে।জানি কাজটা সহজ নয়,কিন্তু তার উপরেই সর্বপ্রথম জোর দিতে হবে।তা না হলে উন্নয়নের ফসল আমাদের সকলের কাছে পৌঁছাবে না।বিশেষ করে তা যদি জনসাধারণের স্বাস্থ্য সংক্রান্ত কোন প্রকল্প হয়ে থাকে,কারণ আমাদের মতন দেশে অসুস্থজনিত কারণে সকলের নামী দামী হসপিটাল বা নার্সিংহোমে পরিষেবা পাওয়ার সুযোগ থাকে না।তাই সেক্ষেত্রে তাদেরকে সরকারি পরিষেবার উপরেই নির্ভর করতে হয়।তাই আমার মনে হয় যে নির্বাচিত সরকারকে রাজনৈতিক বেড়াজালের ঊর্ধে বিষয়টা আরও স্বচ্ছ দৃষ্টি দিয়ে ভাবতে হবে,তা নাহলে জনগণকে অযথা হয়রানির শিকার হতে হবে।
