Bali and its Secularism

Wondering how it is possible to respect the rights, beliefs and religious sentiments of minority people in a Muslim-majority country.
We are all familiar with 'Bali Island' of Ramayana, a great book of Hinduism. So this Bali, an island in Indonesia where you can see statues of many Hindu gods and goddesses on both sides of the road which has multiplied the beauty of Bali. With a population of 220 million Muslims, various Hindu deities are revered there. Even when it comes to covering this collection of Bali gods and goddesses courtesy of an Islamic head of state, the administration strongly refuses to accept it because they believe the sand idols are all theirs. It is part of the culture. It shows their tolerance, although the administration of the neighboring island of Java has not shown this determination. So, if one visits this place, one can easily see a woman wearing hijab outside the Hindu temple selling fruits.
As a result of honoring the majority, Bali is gradually gaining a place on the world map as one of Indonesia's tourist destinations. Despite being 1 percent of the population, the Bali administration sets Indonesia's visa policy. Hindu-dominated Bali has been leading the way in Muslim-dominated Indonesia, leaving its mark on the economy.
If you can afford it, then visit such a place where the name of religion is not arrogant, there is only mutual trust and respect.

আসুন আজ আমরা এমন একটা জায়গার কথা জানবো যেখানে সংখ্যালঘু ধর্মীয় ভাবাবেগের উপর কোনো আঘাত আনা হয় না,যেখানে পারস্পরিক বিশ্বাস ও সহাবস্থান বিরাজ করে সকলের মধ্যে তা সে যে ধর্মেরই হোক না কেন।কী ভাবছেন, এরকম জায়গা কী সত্যি আছে এই পৃথিবীতে? হ্যাঁ ,তা আছে আমাদের এই এশিয়া মহাদেশেই ।ইন্দোনেশিয়া দেশটির নাম নিশ্চয়ই শুনেছেন।হ্যাঁ ঠিকই ধরেছেন জনসংখ্যায় পৃথিবীর বৃহত্তম মুসলিমপ্রধান দেশ।সন্দেহ হচ্ছে তাই তো? ভাবছেন মুসলিমপ্রধান দেশে কীভাবে সংখ্যালঘু মানুষের অধিকার ,বিশ্বাস ও ধর্মীয় ভাবাবেগের সন্মান দেওয়া সম্ভব ।
আমরা সকলেই হিন্দুধর্মের এক মহাগ্রন্থ রামায়ণের 'বালি দ্বীপ ' সঙ্গে পরিচিত আছি।তো এই বালিদ্বীপ ,ইন্দোনেশিয়া দেশের অন্তর্গত এক দ্বীপ যেখানে রাস্তার দুই ধারে আপনি অনেক হিন্দু দেব-দেবীর মূর্তি দেখতে পাবেন যা বালিদ্বীপটির শোভা বহুগুন বৃদ্ধি করেছে।ভাবুন তো , যে দেশের ২৬ কোটি জনসংখ্যার মধ্যে ২২ কোটি মানুষ মুসলমান সেখানেও বিভিন্ন হিন্দু দেব-দেবী সমাদরে পূজিত হয় ।এমনকী যখন কোনো এক ইসলামী রাষ্ট্রপ্রধানের সৌজন্যে বালিদ্বীপের দেব-দেবীর এই সংগ্রহশালা ঢেকে দেওয়ার কথা ওঠে তখনও বালিদ্বীপের প্রশাসন দৃঢ় ভাবে তা মানতে অস্বীকার করে কারণ তাদের মতে বালির এই মূর্তি সব তাদের সংস্কৃতির অঙ্গ।এটাই তাদের সহিষ্ণুতার পরিচয় দেয় ,যদিও প্রতিবেশী দ্বীপ জাভা প্রশাসন কিন্তু এই দৃঢ়তা দেখাতে পারে নি।তাই,এই জায়গায় কেউ ঘুরতে গেলে সহজেই চোখে পড়তে পারে হিন্দু মন্দিরের বাইরে হিজাব পরিহিতা কোন মহিলা ফল বিক্রী করছেন।
বহুমতকে সন্মান জানানোর সুফল হিসাবে বালি আজ ইন্দোনেশিয়া দেশের এক অন্যতম পর্যটন কেন্দ্ররূপে ক্রমশ পৃথিবীর মানচিত্রে জায়গা করে নিচ্ছে।জনসংখ্যার নিরিখে ১ শতাংশ হওয়া সত্ত্বেও বালি প্রশাসন দ্বারা নির্ধারিত হয় ইন্দোনেশিয়ার ভিসা নীতি ।অর্থনীতির ছাপ রেখে হিন্দুপ্রধান বালি মুসলিমপ্রধান ইন্দোনেশিয়াকে পথ দেখিয়ে চলেছে।
যদি সামর্থ্যে কুলায় তাহলে ঘুরে আসুন এইরকম এক জায়গা,যেখানে ধর্মের নাম অহেতুক আস্ফালন নেই,আছে শুধু পারস্পরিক বিশ্বাস ও সন্মান।
