Black Fungus
All the people of our country are really living today in a riddle situation. On the one hand, while the countrymen are in a state of panic due to the second stroke of Corona, the symptoms of a new disease are gradually frightening us.Yes,you got it right, I'm talking about 'Black Fungus' today. We know a little bit about 'fungus', as we can easily identify it in stale bread or rotten fruit.Some of these fungi help to collect minerals from the soil, some help to recover nutrients from organic fossils. As plants do, they can do very little harm to humans.
But at the present time, perhaps we are not sure about that perception. Black Fungus along with Covid-19,has also become fatal today. We see that the patient who has been recovered from corona has contracted the disease and some of them even died. Especially if it is not treated early, the risk factor arises from 50% -60%.This black fungus is often called opportunistic because they as soon as the immune system of the infected person is weakened, it enters the body of the infected person.
Symptoms:
This black fungus enters the patient's mucormycosis process in the form of Mucor and causes severe pain in the affected sinuses, eyes and chin. It can spread rapidly to the lungs and brain. When the disease spreads rapidly, it destroys living cells and blood vessels. The name 'Black Fungus' is derived from this blackened cell.
Prevention and Cure:
1) First we need to know about this disease, because full knowledge about the disease helps to prevent it.
2) Secondly, we need to purify the air in the hospital regularly, especially in the critical ward
3) Thirdly, the oxygen therapy that is used to maintain the humidity of the air needs to be purified repeatedly at frequent interval.
4) Lastly, it is better for the people affected by corona to stay indoors for some time.In addition they should stop themselve from gardenning or farming.
Let us all fight together against this Corona and Black Fungus, raise public awareness and observe some precautions to win against the pandemic.

আমাদের দেশের সকল জনগণই আজ যথার্থ্যই দিশেহারা।একদিকে যখন কোরোনার দ্বিতীয় অভিঘাতে দেশবাসী বেসামাল,তারই মধ্যে আবার এক নতুন রোগের উপসর্গ আমাদেরকে ক্রমশই আতঙ্কিত করে তুলছে।হ্যাঁ,আপনারা ঠিকই ধরেছেন ,আমি আজ 'Black Fungus ' বা কালো ছত্রাক এর কথাই বলছি।এমনিতে আমরা 'Fungus' সম্পর্কে কিছুটা জানি।যেমন এর পরিচয় আমরা খুব সহজেই পারি বাসী পাউরুটিতে বা পচে যাওয়া ফলেতে।এর মধ্যে কিছু Fungus মাটি থেকে খনিজ দ্রব্য সংগ্রহে সাহায্য করে,কিছু আবার জৈব জীবাশ্ম থেকে পুষ্টি উদ্ধারে সাহায্য করে থাকে।যদিও সাধারণভাবে fungus জনিত রোগের শিকার উদ্ভিদের হয়ে থাকে ,মানুষের খুব কম ক্ষতি তারা করতে পারে।
কিন্তু বর্তমান সময়ে দাঁড়িয়ে বোধহয় আমরা সেটুকুও আর নিশ্চিত নই।কোভিদ-১৯ এর সঙ্গে হাত মিলিয়ে আজ এটাও প্রাণঘাতী হয়ে উঠেছে।কারণ আমরা দেখছি যে কোরোনা জয়ী হয়ে সেই রুগী এই রোগের শিকার হয়েছে এবং তাতে কিছু মৃত্যুও ঘটেছে।বিশেষ করে যদি এর শুরুতেই চিকিৎসা না করা যায় ,আশঙ্কা প্রায় ৫০%-৮০% রুগীর মৃত্যু পারে।এই কালো ছত্রাককে অনেক সময়ে সুযোগসন্ধানী বলা হয়ে থেকে কারণ এরা আক্রান্ত ব্যক্তির রোগ প্রতিরোধ ক্ষমতা কমে গেলেই সেই সুযোগে আক্রান্তের দেহে প্রবেশ করে।
রোগের লক্ষণ :
এই কালো ছত্রাক মূলতঃ Mucor আকারে রোগীর দেহে mucormycosis প্রক্রিয়ায় প্রবেশ করে এবং আক্রান্তের সাইনাস অংশে,চোখে ও চিবুকে তীব্র যন্ত্রনা সৃষ্টি করে।ফুসফুস ও ব্রেনে দ্রুত ছড়িয়ে পড়তে পারে।রোগটি যখন দ্রুত ছড়িয়ে পরে তখন তা জীবিত কোষ ও রক্তবাহককে নষ্ট করে কালো করে দেয়।এই কালো হয়ে যাওয়া কোষ থেকেই 'Black Fungus 'এর নামকরণ।
রোগ মুক্তির উপায়:
১)প্রথমত আমাদের এই রোগ সম্পর্কে জানতে হবে,কারণ রোগ সম্পর্কে পূর্ণ জ্ঞানই তাকে প্রতিরোধ করতে সাহায্য করে।
২)দ্বিতীয়ত আমাদের হাসপাতালে বিশেষ করে ক্রিটিক্যাল ওয়ার্ডে তে নিয়মিত ভাবে বায়ু পরিশুদ্ধ করা দরকার।ও
৩) তৃতীয়তঃ বাতাসের আদ্রতা বজায় রাখতে যে অক্সিজেন থেরাপি ব্যবহার করা হয়, তা বার বার পরিশুদ্ধ করা প্রয়োজন।
৪) সবশেষে কোরোনা আক্রান্ত ব্যক্তিরা বেশ কিছুদিনএর ভিতরে থাকাই ভালো।বিশেষ করে তারা যেন এই সময়ে বাগান পরিচর্চা বা মাঠে চাষাবাদ না করেন ,তার নজর দেওয়া।
আসুন আমরা সকলে মিলে এই কোরোনা ও Black Fungus এর বিরুদ্ধে একসঙ্গে লড়ি , জন সচেতনতা বাড়াই এবং কিছু নিয়ম মেনে চলি,তাহলে অচিরেই আমরা জয়ী হবই ।
