We have all heard from childhood that the one who stands by us in times of danger is the true friend. He may be out of his relationship because in most cases we avoids our relatives in times of bad patch.Today, in this post-Corona situation,we all feel it by heart. In a country like ours, it is a true fact to say that the lives of ordinary people will be disrupted due to this epidemic.

It is a group of young people who have come forward on their own initiative to help the sex workers in the society. We all know that the administration has imposed strict restrictions on the second wave of corona in our state. As a result, peoples belong to these community has no earnings. These young groups came forward to help them by delivering rice, pulses, oil, salt, etc. to their homes according to their needs. some of these youngstars are directors in the film world, some of them are involved in editing or any other profession.

Despite of their own uncertainty they could not sit idly by, it can be said that a kind of social responsibility has encouraged them to do this.In their words, this class of society is always looked down upon by the common people, no one thinks of them easily. So they have come forward to help them today.Not only with food,but also delivering sanitizers, masks and oxygen as needed. 

That is why I was saying that these are the ones who continue to play the role of true friends of the society, no matter what sort of relations they belong to others.

একটা আপ্ত বাক্য আমরা সকলেই ছোটবেলা থেকেই শুনে এসেছি যে বিপদের সময়ে যে এসে পাশে দাঁড়ায় সেই হলো প্রকৃত বন্ধু।তা সে নিজের সম্পর্কের বাইরে হতে পারে কারণ বিপদের সময়ে বেশীর ভাগ ক্ষেত্রেই নিজের আত্মীয়স্বজন এড়িয়ে যায়।আজ এই কোরোনা পরবর্তী পরিস্থিতিতে আমার এই কথাটি বারবার মনে হচ্ছে।আমাদের মতন দেশে এই অতিমহামারী কারণে সাধারণ মানুষের জীবনধারণ যে বিপর্যস্ত হবে তা আর ব্যাখ্যা না করলেও চলবে।বিশেষ করে যারা সমাজের প্রান্তিক শ্রেণীতে পড়ে তারাই সবচেয়ে বেশী ক্ষতিগ্রস্থ হয়ে থাকে। 

তা সমাজের সেই ব্রাত্য শ্রেণী তথা 'যৌন পেশায় যুক্ত' মানুষদের সাহায্যের জন্যে একদল তরুণ-তরুণী নিজেদের উদ্যোগে এগিয়ে এসেছে।আমরা সকলেই জানি যে আমাদের রাজ্যে এই কোরোনার দ্বিতীয় ঢেউ সামলাতে প্রশাসনের তরফ থেকে কঠোর বিধিনিষেধ আরোপ করা হয়েছে।ফলে রোজগার একেবারে বন্ধ , তাই তারা যৌনকর্মীদের ঘরে ঘরে নিজেদের সামর্থ্য অনুযায়ী চাল,ডাল ,তেল ,নুন ইত্যাদি পৌঁছে দিচ্ছে।এরা কেউ চলচ্চিত্র জগতে পরিচালক ,তো কেউ সম্পাদনা বা অন্য কোনো পেশার  যুক্ত।কিন্তু অতিমারীর কারণে তাও সব বন্ধ।

নিজেদের এই অনিশ্চয়তা থাকা সত্ত্বেও এরা কিন্তু চুপ করে বসে নেই ,বলা যায় এক প্রকার সামাজিক দায়বদ্ধতাই তাদেরকে এই কাজে উৎসাহিত করেছে।তাদের কথায় সমাজের এই শ্রেণিসম্প্রদায় সবসময়ে সাধারণ মানুষের নিচু নজরে থাকেন,তাদের কথা সহজে কেউ ভাবে না।তাই তারা আজ এদের সাহায্যে করার জন্যে এগিয়ে এসেছে।শুধু খাবার দিয়ে নয় ,প্রয়োজনে স্যানিটাইজার ,মাস্ক ও অক্সিজেন প্রয়োজন মতন পৌঁছে দিচ্ছেন।

তাই বলছিলাম এরাই সমাজের প্রকৃত বন্ধুর ভূমিকা পালন করে চলেছে, তা সে অপরিচিত হোক না কেন।আসুন আমরা সকলে এই তরুণ-তরুণীর দলকে কুর্নিশ ও সাধুবাদ জানাই তাদের এই কর্মোদ্যোগে ।
