Missile woman
One thing we all understand today is that if given the right opportunity, boys and girls can go for their desired goals regardless of gender point.This is further emphasized when we see that girls continue to excel in various fields (science, sports, space research, missile technology, etc.).But they still have to go through many obstacles. The betterment of the society and the country is possible only if our point of view is clearer.
Today we will know the identity of a woman who not only overcame hundreds of obstacles to reach her goal, today the spread of missile technology in our country depends on her. Very few people know the name of that woman. She is Tessie Thomas.she was born in 1983 in a syrian christian family in Kerala. But her childhood was not happy at all. she lost her father at a very young age.
Her mother was a teacher but she had an strong mind. Despite hundreds of difficulties, she kept her child at bay.The Thumba rocket launch center was very close to their home. From a very young age she had a special interest in rockets and missiles. perfect calculations in mathematics and physics acted as a catalyst in this regard. After graduating from school, she got admission in a government college with a daily loan of Rs 100 from a bank and passed B.Tech from there.
After passing B.Tech, she passed M.Tech with Guided Missiles from Pune. she then did her PhD on Guided Missiles from DRDO and joined here in 1997. Her main responsibility was to make 'Agni Missile'. And in this work she was appointed by another graeat son of our country, Missile Man APJ Abdul Kalam.
She was the co-director at the launch of the Agni-3 missile. she was also the director at the launch of the Agni-4 and Agni-5 missions. She is indeed the pride to our nation.

আজকের দিনে একটা কথা আমরা সবাই বুঝতে পারি যে উপযুক্ত সুযোগ পেলে ছেলে-মেয়ে নির্বিশেষে তাদের অভীষ্ট লক্ষ্যে যেতে পারে।একথা আরো জোর দিয়ে বলা যখন আমরা দেখি মেয়েরা বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে (বিজ্ঞান,ক্রীড়াক্ষেত্র,মহাকাশ গবেষণায়,মিসাইল প্রযুক্তি ইত্যাদি )নিজেদের উজ্জ্বল সাক্ষর রেখে চলেছে।তবে এখনো অনেক বাঁধা বিপত্তির মধ্যে তাদের যেতে হয়।এব্যাপারে আমাদের দৃষ্টিকোণ আরো পরিষ্কার হলেই সমাজের তথা দেশের উন্নতি সম্ভব।
আজকে আমরা এমন এক নারীর পরিচয় জানবো যে শুধু নিজেই শত বাঁধা কাটিয়ে তার লক্ষ্যে এগিয়ে যাননি,আজ তার উপরেই আমাদের দেশের ক্ষেপণাস্ত্র প্রযুক্তি বিস্তার নির্ভর করে।সেই মহিলার নাম খুব কম লোকই জানে।তিনি হলেন টেসি থমাস।১৯৬৩ সালে কেরলের এক সিরিয়ান ক্রিষ্টান পরিবারে তার জন্ম।অথচ তার শৈশবকাল মোটেই সুখের ছিল না।খুব ছোটবেলাতেই তিনি বাবাকে হারান।
মা ছিলেন একজন শিক্ষিকা কিন্তু ছিল অসম্ভব মনের জেদ।শত অসুবিধা থাকলেও তিনি তার ৬ সন্তানকে আগলিয়ে রেখেছিলেন।তাদের বাড়ীর খুব কাছেই ছিল থুম্বা রকেট উৎক্ষেপণ কেন্দ্র।খুব ছোট বয়স থেকেই তাই রকেট এবং ক্ষেপণাস্ত্র নিয়ে ছিল আলাদা আগ্রহ।এ বিষয়ে অনুঘটকের কাজ করে তার অঙ্কে ও পদার্থ বিদ্যায় নিখুঁত গণনা।স্কুলের গণ্ডি কৃতিত্বের সঙ্গে বেরোবার পর তিনি এক ব্যাঙ্ক থেকে দৈনিক ১০০ টাকার ঋণ নিয়ে একটি সরকারী কলেজে ভর্তি হন ও সেখান থেকে বি.টেক পাস্ করেন।
বি.টেক পাশ করার পর তিনি পুনে থেকে গাইডেড মিসাইল নিয়ে এম.টেক পাশ করেন।এরপর তিনি ডি.আর.ডি.ও থেকে এই গাইডেড মিসাইল নিয়ে পিএইচডি করেন ও ১৯৯৮ সালে এখানেতেই যোগদান করেন।'অগ্নি ক্ষেপণাস্ত্র' তৈরী ছিল তার মূল দায়িত্ব এবং এ কাজে তাকে নিয়োগ করেন আমাদের দেশের আরো এক কৃতি সন্তান তথা মিসাইল ম্যান এ.পি.জে আব্দুল কালাম।
তিনি অগ্নি-৩ ক্ষেপণাস্ত্র উৎক্ষেপণের সময় সহ-অধিকর্তা ছিলেন।এছাড়া অগ্নি-৪ ও অগ্নি-৫ এর উৎক্ষেপণের সময়ে তিনি ছিলেন অধিকর্তা।২০১৮ সালে ওনার পদোন্নতি হয় এবং ডি.আর.ডি.ও এরোনটিক্যাল সিস্টেমসের ডিরেক্টর জেনারেল রূপে হন।আজ তিনি সমগ্র ভারতের গর্ব ।
